About Us
King’s Cliffe Endowed is a one form entry village school for children from Foundation to Year 6. We moved into our new school building in February 2017
We are situated in the village of King’s Cliffe and serve several nearby communities, such as, Apethorpe, Laxton, Wansford, Nassington, Stibbington and Easton on the Hill, which means that each day 5% of our children are transported to school by dedicated school transport.
The catchment area has a wide range of housing types including housing associations, rented, farm and private accommodation; therefore, the children come from a widely differing range of backgrounds.
In February 2017 KCEPS moved from the old school building dating back to 1873 to a brand new purpose built and modern premises fit for the future. The new building stands in approximately five acres of grounds with ample space for children's sports and outdoor activities.
The interior of the school has modern IT facilities and provides spacious, well-equipped classrooms. We have a well appointed and spacious library and an assembly hall large enough for children's performances. We have three outdoor learning areas, one of which has an outdoor classroom that can be used all year round. The children are given regular opportunities to work in the outdoor environments, which has been shown to positively impact the children's learning experiences.
The school is part of the Oundle and Kings Cliffe Cluster of schools. The purpose of the cluster is to promote good relationships between the schools by arranging staff development and events for the children and their parents.
